Our Patients

Our patient list is varied and we’re able to support adults with musculoskeletal problems, people living inside or outside the Suffolk geographic area and are registered with a GP practice within the AHP Suffolk catchment area. We can also provide support to patients registered with a GP practice within other PCTs with whom AHP Suffolk has a service level agreement. Check here by typing the name of your surgery to find out if the practice you are registered with is listed with us.

On your first appointment you will be asked some questions about your condition and any other medical conditions you may have along with any medication you may be taking. The physiotherapist will also need to do a physical assessment to understand what your needs are as part of your recovery programme.

Patient Charter

We want to provide service and support to enable our patients to lead healthier and happier lives.  We have identified http:values which we believe will help get the very best quality service and support needed.

Similarly, we want to make sure all our patients are happy with our service and we want to ensure our staff are able to deliver a great service which meets patients expectations.  We have developed our Patient Charter which details what you can expect from us and in return what you can do to help us deliver.

If we are not delivering against our values or if we have not met your expectations, please let us know by telephoning 03330 433966 and ask to speak to a member of the senior management team or by email to centraladmin@nhs.net

Patient Health, Patient Record & Patient Choice

The NHS uses a secure electronic computer system to hold all patient records and with patient consent, it allows healthcare professionals to share medical information with each other to ensure everyone receives the best possible care.

There are several ways for patients to share their health records and our Clinicians will ask for your consent to facilitate this sharing.

More information can be obtained from the Patient Advice and Liaison Service; a summary of the service is outlined in the leaflet Your Health Your Record Your Choice
