Health information week is a campaign to promote good quality health resources that are available to the public. The campaign aims to raise awareness to the public of the resources available to them,

 

Use the hashtag #HIW2018

 

Monday 2nd July – Healthy lifestyles 

Live Well  for more information, advice and tips on eating well, maintaining a healthy weight, exercise, sleep, alcohol support, quitting smoking and emotional support.

 

Tuesday 3rd July – Mental health 

MIND  for information and support for better mental health, guides to services, support for friends and family and tips for every day living.

 

Wednesday 4th July – Health and digital literacy 

Behind the Headlines  provides information on the headlines in the news from NHS choices including where the stories come from, the type of research, basic results, interpretation of the results and the conclusions all in bite size chunks.

 

Thursday 5th July- Long term conditions  

Arthritis Research UK  for information and support in managing arthritis, including information on current research and treatments.

 

Friday 6th July – Mindfulness and relaxation

Headspace  to support problems with stress, focus, mood, compassion, aggression, work, anxiety and depression. Mindfulness has been shown to impact on sleep, weight loss, relationships, chronic disease and pain.

 

Saturday 7th July – Patient stories 

Time to Change  for information on mental health conditions, support for yourself or help in supporting others and join the movement to help change the way people think and act about mental health problems.

 

Sunday 8th July – Promoting partnerships in health information 

HIFA  is a global network committed to the progressive realisation of a world where every person has access to the healthcare information they need to protect their own health and the health of others.
